Following the revelation from inquistor lords and irrefutable proof from a faction within the Alpha Legion, who must remain nameless, the Lord of Macragge has decided that action must be taken to free the Emperor's immortal soul from the shackles which the Imperium calls the Golden Throne.
Volunteers were requested from the forces of Ultramar. for these volunteers for all intents and purposes would be considered dead in the eyes of Ultramar. The actions to be taken can never be traced back to the Ultramarines and the Ultramar Empire.
The captain of the 5th Company was tasked with selecting the best and brightest among Ultramar to create a new force of change. The majority of the 5th company along with a handful from the 1st company and 10th company readily answered the call.
Just as important, the new chapter is supported by the best of the best among the Imperial militia stationed within the Ultramar Empire. Most notable among these support are the 2nd Calthian Infantry Regiment and the 39th Calthian Armoured Regiment.
Following a minor campaign in the Arexis system. These brave cursaders and champions of humanity were "lost" in the warp. A whole battlefleet led by the newly commissioned battleship "Glorious Anthem" and the 5th Company's Battlebarge "True Sons of the Emperor".
With the inclusion of the Titan Legion and the tribe of the "Emperor's Chosen". The vast armada was reorganised and renamed the Legion of the Emperor.
